Music is a vital part of church service at St. John’s Mar Thoma Church. The members of St. John’s Mar Thoma Church Choir are a team of auditioned dedicated and talented singers and musicians who lead service every Sunday. In addition to singing for regular Sunday worship, the choir also sings for major holidays, parish events, funeral services and various Christian programs.

The choir consists of a Malayalam and English wing, accompanied by musicians playing the piano and guitar. The choir is registered under the DSMC. Members regularly learn new songs and tunes from Kristheeya Keerthanam, Maramon Convention, devotional Malayalam Christian songs, hymns, choruses, and praise and worship. Members have the responsibility to attend practices held weekly and organize notation classes, choir retreats and charity music events throughout the year. St. John’s Mar Thoma Church Choir encourages committed singers and musicians to use their gift and use it to praise God and create an atmosphere to receive God’s spirit. Music is a blessing from God.
